PSP stands for Parent School Partnership, and we are exactly that – a partnership between our Rocklin Academy Gateway parents and school! The PSP is a volunteer group of parents who work to enhance campus community, provide school support, and help enrich our students’ collective experience. Your PSP board – and all of our helpers throughout the year – are Rocklin Academy Gateway parents just like you!
Parent School Partnership Board of Directors
Daniela Miranda, PSP President
Daniela Miranda is continuing on this year as President of the PSP! She started her term last year, and we are so grateful for her knowledge and experience as we navigate this new and completely different year!
Daniela and her husband have two daughters at Gateway – a 2nd grader and a 5th grader – and their family has been at Gateway since its second year! Since her eldest started at school, Daniela has been able to be a regular Gateway volunteer, which included music docent and room parent roles – sometimes holding both roles for both daughters at the same time! She then continued on to be Room Parent Coordinator and then, ultimately PSP President! We are so grateful for her dedication to our school!
Krystl Burleigh, PSP Vice President
Krystl Burleigh, is our PSP Vice President this year! She and her husband have a son starting 2nd grade and a daughter starting kindergarten. Krystl has been a room parent since her 2nd grader was in TK, and last year she was the Room Parent Coordinator! She is looking forward to supporting our school and families as the PSP Vice President this year!
Sabina Khan, PSP Secretary
Sabina was appointed into the PSP Secretary role at our first board meeting of the year. She and her husband have two daughters attending Gateway. They are in the first grade and preschool this year, and Sabina was very involved in her older daughters kindergarten class room last year. Looking to get even more involved, Sabina reached out to join the PSP Board, and we are so lucky to have her on the team!
Kay Bass, PSP Communications Director
Kay Bass started the summer and the school year as PSP Secretary. but was recently recommissioned to the new Communications Director since her main project has been building our social media platforms! She and her husband have two boys at RA Gateway – a 2nd grader and a kindergartener – and a 1.5 year old daughter at home. Kay has been a room parent for the last two years and is looking forward to getting more involved, especially when it comes to helping parents connect with each other and the school!
Reshma Alam, PSP Historian
Reshma has been appointed to the new Historian role! She and her husband have 2 kids – an 8th grader and a 5th grader – and their family has been at Gateway since it opened in 2014. Reshma has given so much time back to school in many ways, including as room parent, art docent, field trip chaperone, and as the PSP Treasurer from 2017 through 2020. We are so grateful to have her on the team again this year, heading up the yearbook and compiling our school’s history!
